President Donald Trump’s personal attorney for the Russia investigation Marc Kasowitz says he will apologize to the recipient of the profanity-laced emails he sent this week.
After watching Rachel Maddow’s nightly cable news show, a man sent Kasowitz an email with the subject line “Resign Now” in regards to representing Trump in the Russian investigations. Kasowitz responded with several angry, threatening messages. His first response was, “F–k you.” He then continued to respond in several more emails saying “You don’t know me, but I will know you. How dare you send me an email like that? I’m on you now. You are f–king with me now. Let’s see who you. Watch your back, b-tch.”
The recipient of the email politely replied with “Thank you for your kind reply. I may be in touch as appropriate.”
Kasowitz snapped back with “Call me. Don’t be afraid, you piece of sh-t. Stand up. If you don’t call, you’re just afraid.” And later, “I already know where you live, I’m on you. You might as well call me. You will see me. I promise. Bro.”
After these emails were published Kasowitz’s spokesman Mike Sitrick released a statement, “Mr. Kasowitz, who is tied up with client matters, said he intends to apologize to the writer of the email referenced in today’s ProPublica story. While no excuse, the email came at the end of a very long day that at 10PM was not yet over.”
Kasowitz was retained by President Trump in May as lead counsel on the Russia investigation. He has represented Trump in multiple cases in the past.
