According to Deadline, producers, looking to replace Jennifer Lopez, are in final negotiations with Mariah Carey. If she signs on the dotted line, the chart topping singer would reportedly make $17 million per season, $2 million more than Lopez’s salary last season.
Idol judge Randy Jackson is Carey’s close pal and manager. He’s also producing her upcoming album.
Meanwhile, Carey took to Twitter to announce that her new single would be called “Triumphant” and it will feature rappers Rick Ross and Meek Mill.
“I wrote TRIUMPHANT when I was going through a difficult time & it helped me get through it. When u hear it, pay attention 2 the lyrics,” she wrote.
No word yet on when the full album will be released.
