MC Lyte, Lil Mama and several other female rappers are opening up their lives for a new BET reality show: Hip-Hop Sisters.
Lyte, Lil Mama along with The Lady of Rage, Yo Yo, Smooth and Monie Love call themselves the Hip-Hop Sisters. Together, according to a press release, they are working to reclaim their thrones as the “Queens of Hip-Hop.”
The cameras will capture the ups and downs as they work their way back to the top of the charts. Their personal drama will also be captured for all to see.
Hip-Hop Sisters will be executive produced by MC Lyte and Lemuel Plummer. The revealing docudrama is scheduled to hit the small screen this fall. It’s just one of four new series the network announced this week including Internal Affairs and Gone Gospel.
Fitiness guru and trainer to the stars, Jeanette Jenkins, will also have her own reality show. Jenkins will transform the lives of several lucky individuals through fitness. Back to Me with Jeanette Jenkins will be executive produced by Mara Brock Akil and Salim Akil.
