Anyone following Meagan Good knows the actress is a magnet for red-carpet criticism. Some feel, as the wife of a preacher, she should dress a bit more conservatively—ultimately covering up.
Despite the constant criticism, Good says she and her detractors don’t see eye-to-eye and that’s okay.
“Unfortunately a lot of the backlash has come from the Christian community and there’s no me and them; there’s only us,” said the Anchorman 2 star.
“We’re all apart of the same community and at the end of the day for me, I grew up in this business as a little girl,” she followed up. Good says she’s been walking red carpets since she was 13 years old. “What I may view as appropriate or okay, somebody else may feel differently and I think that’s okay. We’re all different.”
Williams asked if she and Devon Franklin, her husband of a year and a half, have been feeling any baby pressure. “My mom is definitely ready for it to happen,” explained Good. “But we’re not ready yet. A little bit longer. We want to enjoy being married and support each other and seeing what God has for us.”
