Powerhouse vocalists Melanie Fiona, Kelly Rowland, Jordin Sparks and Ciara have all been tapped to honor Whitney Houston and Donna Summer at this year’s VH1 Divas.
The concert will be aired live from Los Angeles’ Shrine Auditorium where Adam Lambert will serve as the event’s host. Additional performers who will take the stage include Kelly Clarkson, Pitbull and Miley Cyrus.
In addition to the heartfelt tributes being planned, the show will also give back to the community. As in years past, proceeds from the event will support the VH1 Save the Music Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to keeping music education alive in American public schools. To date, the charity has provided more than $49.5 million in new musical instruments to 1,850 public schools, impacting the lives of over 2.1 million children.
VH1 Divas airs live on Sunday, December 16 at 9 p.m. ET/8C.
