One by one, sports teams and individual athletes and entertainers are joining Colin Kaepernick and his National Anthem protest in the name of social and racial justice.
Miami Dolphins’ Jelani Jenkins, Denver Broncos’ Brandon Marshall, J. Cole and Trey Songz have all stood in solidarity with Kaepernick in their own right; now, comedian Michael Blackson is joining the party and his national anthem protest stays to true the funny man he is at heart.
Blackson attended the New York Giants’ Sunday game against the Washington Redskins at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, NJ. When the stadium stood for the National Anthem, the 43-year-old comedian laid on the ground to take a quick nap, and he documented the entire thing on Instagram.

The Ghana native’s poliltical post was captioned, “Wake me up when it’s over.”
