The House Democrats ended their gun control after a twenty-five hours siege of the floor. The sit-in was launched by Rep. John Lewis, who on Thursday tweeted, “We got in trouble. We got in the way. Good trouble. Necessary Trouble. By sitting-in, we were really standing up. #NoBillNoBreak.”
His tweet caught the attention of the entire nation, including the First Lady who responded to Lewis with her support. “So proud of everyone who stood up by sitting down,” tweeted FLOTUS.
