After a six-year hiatus, Mint Condition are still putting it down with their latest effort E-Life.
“We all spent that time enriching our lives by trying to expand the sum total of who we are,” said the group’s pianist Lawrence El of their break.
“My legacy is just trying to push the envelope a bit and keep my and the group’s integrity,” said lead singer Stokley Williams, pictured center.
“I hope people will say that Mint Condition brought something new and original to the table and were one of the greatest groups of their time,” said the group’s bass and lead guitarist Rick Kinchen.
“I want people to recognize us as innovators to be able to say that we were able to change the world through our music,” said the group’s pianist Lawrence El.
“I hope that people reflect on our 15 years of music and say, ‘They were good guys and did their thing,’ " said Mint Condition’s keyboardist/saxophonist Jeffrey Allen.
Mint Condition continues to make music, proving dreams do come true.
“We dreamt about being on stage with Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis and then we ended up working with them,” said Mint Condition guitarist O’Dell.
