Deputies met the girl’s mother, who told deputies that she slashed her boyfriend, 25-year-old John Lawarren Williams with a large sword in an attempt to get him to leave after walking in on him molesting the child.
Williams had already fled the scene when deputies arrived but turned himself into authorities at 6 a.m. the same day.
He was charged with aggravated child molestation and cruelty to children and is currently being held without bond, the report notes. He was treated for a minor cut on his left hand before being taken to the Twiggs Law Enforcement Center.
