Before she made history in 2017 by becoming only the second woman to ever be elected
mayor of Atlanta, Keisha Lance Bottoms was on the front lines of the fight for equal pay for women. As a city council member, she introduced legislation to push for pay equality for women in the area.
“We do the work, we put in the effort and we deserve the pay,” she says.
