We dare you not to be moved by this video. In it Cheri Lindsay, a Black woman with vitiligo, removes the perfectly blended makeup that covers the white areas of her face. Lindsay then explains her experiences with the autoimmune disease. “When I first got vitiligo I had to ask myself a few questions: ‘Does it hurt?’ No. ‘Is it contagious?’ Not at all. ‘Can I still live with this and be successful?’ Hell yes!” The video is part of the makeup line Dermablend Professional‘s Camo Confessions campaign. The brand is encouraging people to share their beauty confessions—uncovering the imperfections they typically hide—in videos uploaded to their site. One dollar from each video benefits Look Good Feel Better.
We love that Lindsay is fabulously sharing her story. Tell us what you think in the comments below.
