13-year-old Little League athlete Mo’ne Davis has had quite a year. As if the August cover of Sports Illustrated wasn’t major enough, the eight grade honor roll student has made an appearance on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon and now, will go down in history as throwing the first ceremonial pitch at Game 4 of the World Series between the San Francisco Giants and Kansas City Royals.
“Just to be at the World Series is pretty cool,” Davis said. Surrounded by Hall of Famers Hank Aaron and Frank Robinson, as well as Spike Lee, who directed the television commercial fearuring Mo’ne Davis for Chevrolet, was amazing, but receiving a phone call from her favorite player, Chase Utley, of the Philadelphia Phillies –– “I think that tops it all,” Davis said.
