Actress Regina King sat down for “CNN’s Red Chair Interview” last week to discuss her success, motherhood, and her beliefs.
The actress, who’s had a very successful career with much praise, really opened up about how she views motherhood and how difficult it can be to find a balance in Hollywood. Regina has a 15-year-old-son with ex husband Ian Alexander, Sr.

“I get emotional because my son is an amazing young man, and it took me to be a mother for me to realize how incredible of a woman she (my mother) is,” says Regina. “You don’t know what unconditional love is. You may say you do, but if you don’t have a child, you don’t know what that is. But when you experience it, it is the most fulfilling ever. So, that is the greatest part about me. Being a mom to Ian.”
While looking absolutely stunning on camera, Regina revealed what she felt some of her most pivotal career moments were, citing her turns in the movies ‘Boyz In the Hood’ and‘Ray’, and her starring role on TV crime series “Southland”. The “227” actress says she’s confident about the future: “I think I have a few more pivotal moments to look forward to!”
