Last night Mariah Carey performed for the first time since giving birth to twins Monroe and Moroccan 11 months ago and dealing with her husband’s health issues.
“It’s my first performance since having dem babies,” said Carey, who performed “Shake It Off” and seven more hits for Jimmy Kimmel’s “Plot Your Escape” concert series, which airs this Saturday.
At the very end of her short set, Carey dedicated “Always Be My Baby” to her kids.
“Do you love them babies,” she asked the crowd. “Cause I do… I really wanted to bring them here tonight, but Monroe is sometimes shy and takes a while to warm up to an audience. Rock and roll! Nah, but it’s late. It’s time for them to be asleep.”
Are you glad to see Carey back on the stage?
