Cartoon Network and the NBA are teaming up to give fans an inside look of what it’s like to be the son of a professional basketball star. The upcoming series “My Dad’s a Pro” will follow 7 year-old Jaelen, the son of the Boston Celtics guard Eddie House and is set to premiere on the small screen in the Fall. Jaelen is taking the spotlight in stride and the presence of cameras is anything but intimidating. “He is so excited,” House told ESSENCE.com in reference to his son. Both are thrilled about the show, but the pro player does not foresee the program altering the strong bond he has with Jaelen. “It will not change my relationship with my son. We have an incredible relationship as it is,” he said. “It will definitely make us better and it will be a great experience something we can share and talk about forever.” The joint venture between the NBA and the Cartoon Network aims to create and produce original programming like “My Dad’s a Pro,” that will specifically cater to their audiences.-PS
