Beyoncé stans can breathe a sigh of relief today—their queen is hard at work at crafting the perfect new album.
According to Billboard‘s recent interview with Ne-Yo, fans might have to wait a little longer. “I’m still putting stuff together for Beyoncé’s album,” said Ne-Yo. “They’re trying to figure out what they want that to be, which I’m not mad at. Beyoncé’s the kind of artist where you’re not gonna see it ’till it’s right. And her fans—they love her so they’ll be patient.”
Although no official music has been released by the ESSENCE Festival headliner, several new songs by her have surfaced—”Grown Woman,” “Standing on the Sun” and “Epic”—all of which were either used in ads or in a movie. No videos have been released for those songs either.
Beyoncé recently completed the European leg of her Mrs. Carter Show world tour and is scheduled to begin the North American leg at the end of the month in Las Vegas.
GQ reported earlier this year in their February cover story that Beyoncé recorded nearly 50-songs for this album. She also said it will have influences from R&B, rock and soul, as well as some ’60s doo-wop.
