D’Angelo Russell Shunned By Teammates After Leaking Video of Nick Young Confessing to Cheating on Iggy Azalea
Yesterday, the Internet was a ablaze after a leaked video recorded by Russell went viral. In the video Young, who is engaged to rapper Iggy Azalea, admitted to cheating with a 19-year-old woman. During the press conference, Russell apologized and stated that he sincerely regretted his actions.
“I am sick. I am sorry about recording the video,” he said. “I can’t repeat myself enough on that: I am sorry I recorded that video. I feel horrible. I wish this never happened.”
Young, however, still might need a little more time.
Kyrie Irving Responds to Kehlani Cheating Rumors
“I think it’s best me and D’Angelo handle our situation in a private manner. It’s something we need to talk about. What happened is what happened. We’ve got to work on it.”
Many media outlets have reported that Young accepted an apology from Russell, but those rumors were squashed in a now deleted tweet from Young that asked, “What I accept?” Ouch.
Looks like it’s going to be a while before Russell is back in the good graces of his teammates.
