Nicki Minaj Says She Didn’t Mean to Slam Donald Trump’s Wife Melania in Rap: ‘She Seems Nice’

Nicki Minaj provided some political commentary on the upcoming presidential election in the form of an expletive-riddled rap. “‘Cause you n—as are so fucking weak, ya’ll got the audacity to be intimidated by a bad motherf—king queen and get your motherf—king feelings hurt,” Minaj said during the Tidal X 1015 concert in Brooklyn, New York, on Saturday night. “But it’s O motherf—king K, ’cause Barack needed a Michelle, bitch, and Bill needed a motherf—king Hillary, bitch. You better pray to God you don’t get stuck with a motherf—king Melania.” And while one fan said the 33-year-old rapper “dragged” Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump’s wife Melania, Minaj responded and wrote, “Wasn’t ‘dragging’. She seems nice. But a smart man knows he needs a certain ‘kind’ of woman when running for President/attempting greatness.”

On Saturday, SNL‘s Cecily Strong parodied the potential First Lady in a Trump version of Beyoncé‘s “Not Sorry.” Joined by Trump’s daughters Ivanka Trump (host Emily Blunt), Tiffany Trump (Vanessa Bayer), campaign manager Kellyanne Conway (Kate McKinnon) and Trump’s “one black friend” Omarosa (Sasheer Zamata), the SNL cast imagined what would happen if all the women in Trump’s life revolted. As the song concludes, Melania warns her husband (Alec Baldwin), “Without us you wouldn’t be standing there, you’d just be the guy with the weird hair.”
