Sometime in the future, by the time Nicki Minaj is done with her fifth album, she predicts that she will be happily married with children.
Minaj’s third studio album, The Pinkprint, is due out Dec. 15, but the 31-year-old rapper is already making plans for her future.
“By the fifth album, I will have walked down the aisle and I will at least be on baby number one, possibly baby number two,” she said in a recent interview with Complex. “And have $500 million.”
And make no mistake; she will make sure she’s married first before having any kids.
“I definitely will be married before I have my baby. I want to make sure I do it in that order,” she said. “I’ve always felt like that since I was young; my mother always put that in my head.”
These traditional ideals may come as a surprise to fans and critics of the award-winning rapper. She has recently come under fire surrounding her controversial videos, from implied Nazi imagery in Only, to all of the sexiness and twerking in her “Anaconda” video. But Minaj feels that despite all of the fame, fans, and controversy, being a mother is of the upmost importance to her.
“No matter how much money I have, I would be disappointed, as a woman, because I feel like I was put here to be a mother,” she said.
