“Forbes” recently released its list of top paid actresses in Hollywood and sadly none of the women mentioned were Black actresses. Not even Zoe Saldana, who starred in the high-grossing film “Avatar,” made the cut. Media sources point out that some of the women on Forbes’ top ten list haven’t had a breakthrough film in years and still earn upwards of $25 million. “The Blind Side” actress Sandra Bullock topped the list, earning $56 million. Bullock may have tipped the scale because she starred in two blockbuster films — “The Proposal” and “The Blind Side” — between June 2009 and June 2010. To determine actresses’ earnings, the folks at Forbes spoke to agents, managers, producers and lawyers. Meanwhile Black celebrities are leading in other Forbes categories. Last month the mag announced that Beyonce was the third highest-earning musician of 2010, pulling in $87 million. Oprah Winfrey was also the only African American to make Forbes’ “International Billionaire List.”
