Note to Hollywood: 'Octavia Spencer and Sherri Shepherd Are Not the Same Person'

They’re both beautiful plus-sized beauties with a great sense of humor, but the similarities between Oscar winner Octavia Spencer and The View co-host Sherri Shepherd might end there. You know that, but try telling that to Hollywood.

Tired of people in the industry mistaking her for Shepherd, Spencer took to Twitter to make a humorous declaration: “Dear Hollywood: Sherri Shepherd And Octavia Spencer Are Not The Same Person but we are dear friends, LOL,” she tweeted.

Earlier in the week Shepherd recalled several people stopping her on the red carpet to ask if she thought she would win an Oscar for The Help. “They thought I was Octavia Spencer,” she said on The View. 

Now that we’ve cleared that up, perhaps people can stop mistaking Community star Yvette Nicole Brown for Spencer too?
