Multiple Oakland police officers have been placed on administrative leave while the department investigates claims from 18-year-old Celeste Guap, who says she has slept with 28 officials across the Bay Area.
Guap, who goes by a pseudonym and who is the daughter of a police dispatcher, says some of the officers paid her in cash or information on prostitution ring busts, reports NBC Bay Area. Additionally, four of the encounters reportedly took place while she was underage.

So far, authorities have placed five officers on administrative leave while an investigation is underway. Two officers have resigned from their posts. Last year, one of the accused officers committed suicide, detailing the alleged sex crimes in his suicide note.
“The Internal Affairs Division will continue to investigate all of the misconduct allegations,” Oakland police said in a statement. “However, a complete investigative process requires confidentiality in order to maintain the integrity of the investigation.”

The allegations come amidst turmoil in the Oakland police department. On Friday, the city’s third police chief in nine days stepped down, though none of the resignations outwardly cite the sex scandal.
