Oprah Winfrey and her longtime love Stedman Graham were arm-in-arm at the 75th Golden Globe Awards on Sunday night and the cameras loved them. While all eyes were on them on one of Hollywood’s biggest nights, that was only the beginning of what became a series of memorable moments from the evening.
After making history as the first African American woman to receive the Cecile B. DeMille award and delivering a passionate speech that many said felt almost presidential, Graham told the LA Times that a political run could be on the table for the media mogul.
“It’s up to the people,” he told the newspaper. “She would absolutely do it.”
During her speech, Winfrey told the audience that “a new horizon is on the way,” which gave many viewers hope that it may indeed have been a campaign rallying cry.
Celebrities quickly took to Twitter to express their support for Winfrey’s potential run.
Winfrey is next to star in the Ava DuVernay directed film A Wrinkle in Time and who knows, maybe the Oval Office is in her future too. (Fingers crossed.)
