Just a week before her highly anticipated grand finale, Oprah is looking back at some of her show’s most memorable guests, with Dr. Tererai Trent topping her list. The daytime queen recently said the once-impoverished Zimbabwean woman is an inspiration and her favorite guest of all time.
After hearing her story on last Friday’s welcome-back episode, it’s no surprise Trent came in as Oprah’s favorite. The powerful woman plucked herself from poverty, had three children by 18, survived an abusive relationship, moved to America on her own, and now has two degrees coupled with a PhD.
And it only gets better from here: Oprah recently gave Trent $1 million to start her own school for girls in Zimbabwe.
As always, Ms. Winfrey knows how to do the right thing — congratulations Dr. Trent!
