There’s still no magic quite like Oprah Winfrey’s magic. Although she’s no longer at the helm of the highest-rated daytime talk show of all time, the media mogul took the number one spot on Forbes’ 2013 List of the Most Influential Celebrities.
It’s Winfrey’s second year in a row landing at number one despite ending her historic run of of the Oprah Winfrey Show in 2011.
According to E-Poll Research, 48% of people surveyed for the Forbes listing rated Winfrey as influential. Winfrey’s success can be partly attributed to growing ratings at her OWN network where she’s scored record-breaking viewership on specials featuring stars such as Cissy Houston and Lance Armstrong.
Film directors Steven Spielberg and Martin Scorcese were voted as second and third most influential, respectively.
