Last week, the Academy invited us over to the Grand Ballroom at Hollywood & Highland Center to preview the decor and menu (courtesy of master chef, Wolfgang Puck) for the Governors Ball, the official Oscar after-party. While 1,500 of Hollywood’s elite will be noshing on an array of hors d’oeuvres (think tempura shrimp and lobster, smoked salmon pizza with caviar and wasabi-pea crusted crab cakes) and a main course of smoked salmon over potato galette and chicken pot pie with veggies and black truffle, you, too, can enjoy a fabulous spread.
Cheryl Cecchetto, producer of the Governors Ball, has offered up 10 tips to make your party a bonafide hit. First on her list is to make sure that you and your guests see as many Oscar-nominated movies as possible, which will only adds to the fun.
