All My Children and One Life to Live have found a new home!
The Oprah Winfrey Network will run the once popular soaps during its daytime programming, according to the Hollywood Reporter. Beginning July 15th, the network will air half-hour episodes of each for 10 weeks.
As it stands, All My Children will air at 1 p.m. and One Life to Live will air at 3 p.m. from Monday through Thursday only.
The soaps were canceled in 2011, but were revived for the online community in April.
“These shows have proven to be very popular with a significant, loyal fan base, not to mention Oprah herself is a big fan,” said OWN president Erik Logan. “Many of our viewers across numerous platforms have expressed their passion for the soaps so we are especially excited to air this limited engagement on OWN.”
It’s the latest programming news for the once struggling network. Yesterday, OWN ordered 16 additional episode of Tyler Perry’s drama The Haves and the Have Nots. The decision came after the series broke ratings records and earned a solid audience after a handful of episodes aired.
