Tyler Perry’s new drama, The Haves and the Have Nots, is set to launch in a big way, reports The Hollywood Reporter.
The OWN network will feature a night full of special “event programming” leading up to the show’s premiere.
The network will start by airing a special episode of Oprah’s Next Chapter on May 26, where Oprah will sit down for an intimate interview with Perry in his home. Tyler Perry Comes to OWN: Behind the Scenes will air immediately after and will give an inside look at the making of The Haves and the Have Nots.
The series follows the fictional lives of a wealthy family and their house keeper who works in their Savannah, Georgia mansion.
The Haves and the Have Nots premieres on May 29 on OWN.
