Starting July 12, Siya, Brianna Perry and Diamond will be returning to Oxygen’s bi-coastal hit, Sisterhood of Hip Hop, alongside two new faces – Audra the Rapper and Lee Mazin. Although fans won’t get the chance to look inside Bia or Nyemiah Supreme’s lives on network television any further, they’ll surely be captivated with the love and drama brought to the table by the show’s new and returning cast.
VH1 Movie ‘The Breaks’ to Become a TV Series
For those new to the show, the T.I.-produced docu-series follows the lives of aspiring “fences” around the country just trying to rap their way to the top of the music game. And for those who have followed the cast since day one, it’s not hard to remember that last season ended on a positive note with Siya recommitting her career to longtime manager and R&B sensation, Tank, Brianna Perry dropping her hit single, “Ugly Girls” and Diamond looking for a way to balance her relationship and career goals at the same damn time! And we can’t forget the girls’ collaborative remake of Queen Latifah’s “U-N-I-T-Y!” This season, fans will be introduced to Audra the Rapper’s “ratchet soul” and star-studded -and growing- body of work.
Five Reasons We’re Tuning in to ‘Underground’
While the upcoming season is set to give new insight into what it means to be a female rapper in the game, it will also feature appearances from hip hop legends and heavyweights like MC Lyte, Irv Gotti, Tank, Trina, YoYo, Jazze Pha and more. Oh, and rumor has it someone will be facing jail time before the 10-week series is up. Can you guess who it is? If not, guess you’ll just have to tune in and watch!
Be sure to catch the season 3 premiere of Oxygen’s Sisterhood of Hip Hop on Tuesday, July 12 at 9 PM EST.
