Patti Austin Named Spokesperon for Social Change

Patti Austin is a dance diva in her own right, but now she can proudly add spokeswoman to her resume. She has signed on to be the spokesperson for the Foundation for Social Change, which aims to educate and uplift women and girls around the world.

As the new frontwoman, Austin will participate in the Global Conference for Social Change and Women & Girls Education Summit: Driving Economic Progress for Gender Equality on October 5-6.

“As an artist involved in the entertainment business for over 55 years, I have always managed my career in terms of maintaining a connection with current trends while tested strategies that lead to increased stature on my own terms,” she says.

Austin says she joined the foundation because of the way they use technology to teach life skills which connects with her own vision of ending global poverty.
