Earlier this week, Robin Thicke and Paula Patton publicly announced that they were legally separating after eight years of marriage. The news quickly became a hot topic with fans, many of whom were devastated by the news.
Although they released a joint statement, since the news broke Thicke has been very public about his desire to get his wife back. He told a TMZ reporter, “I’m just trying to get her back.” Then, on Thursday night concert in Virginia, he opened the show by dedicating his hit single “Lost Without You” to Patton and saying, “For those of you who don’t know, my wife and I got separated a few days ago. But you know, I want everybody here to know that I’m trying to get my girl back.”
That same day, Patton posted a cryptic meme to her Instagram feed that read: “Everything Happens For a Reason. If you love something let it go. If it comes back to you, it’s yours. If it doesn’t, it never was, and it’s not meant to be.”
Thicke and Patton were high school sweethearts and they’re the proud parents to son, Julian Fuego Thicke, 3.
