One week after VH1’s TLC biopic aired, the group’s former manager and creator Pebbles has finally commented on her depiction in the film.
According to the former pop star, she feels attacked by the way she was portrayed. She released a short statement saying, “The movie contains many false and defamatory statements and scenes about me. Please know that I have never cheated or mislead anyone.”
Pebbles vows to defend her reputation, accomplishments and character. As for probably legal action, she says her attorney will demand retractions from VH1.
“My silence has empowered individuals looking for a payday at my expense,” Pebbles continued. “I have held my peace for 20 years and it’s time the truth comes out. I will be sharing my story in the appropriate venue at the appropriate time.”
The movie made waves across the TV spectrum and earned VH1 its best original movie ratings. Some 4.5 million viewers tuned in to see the film starring KeKe Palmer, Drew Sidora and Lil Mama.
