Music has lost another talent. PEOPLE confirms that PM Dawn rapper Attrell Cordes, aka Prince Be, of the hip hop duo P.M. Dawn has died.
The 46-year-old New Jersey native died of renal failure at a local hospital.
Attrell and his brother Jarrett reached the top of the charts in 1991 with the song “Set Adrift on Memory Bliss.” They would go on to record three albums together, but no song made an impact quite like “Set Adrift.”
The musical brothers were the stepsons of Kool & the Gang member, George Brown.
Jarrett broke the news of his brother’s death other Facebook page: “Prince Be Rest In Peace Forever More, Pain from diabetes can’t harm you anymore, My Heart is at Peace B-Cuz U suffered so long, Tell Grandma I said Hi & Stay Blisstatic & Strong.” -Love Doc.G
Attrell is survived by his wife Mary and three children.
