In today’s, “I Can’t Believe Trump Just Tweeted That” news, Donald Trump woke up early to get his fake news started, and once again, he’s taking aim at Puerto Rico. Recent reports show that nearly 3,000 people died in Puerto Rico because of the aftermath of Hurricane Maria, as well as the failed relief efforts provided by the United States. But of course, Trump, who said earlier this week that relief efforts went great, is now denying the number of deaths. In just two tweets, Trump managed to create a hailstorm of fake news, while getting Twitter off to a crazy morning start:

3000 people did not die in the two hurricanes that hit Puerto Rico. When I left the Island, AFTER the storm had hit, they had anywhere from 6 to 18 deaths. As time went by it did not go up by much. Then, a long time later, they started to report really large numbers, like 3000…

Apparently Trump thinks everything is now a conspiracy, and he’s being set up by the democrats to make him look bad. Trump also thinks a lot of the people in Puerto Rico died from old age:

…..This was done by the Democrats in order to make me look as bad as possible when I was successfully raising Billions of Dollars to help rebuild Puerto Rico. If a person died for any reason, like old age, just add them onto the list. Bad politics. I love Puerto Rico!

One has to wonder where these “Billions of Dollars,” raised actually went to people who needed it in Puerto Rico, and not to government contractors with connections to the Trump regime. But we all know the truth of the matter is, there’s no way billions of any type of currency made its way to Puerto Rico. And this is exactly how right-wing conspiracy theories get started.
