Omarosa Manigault Newman seems to think she has an idea about the person behind the exclusive New York Times article about Donald Trump and the chaos going on in the White House. Earlier this week, an anonymous insider penned a Times op-ed about how unhinged President Donald Trump actually is and the drama going on in the White House.
Of course, unlike Newman who spilled tea in her book and during recent interviews, they didn’t have the courage to add their byline to the article. But on Thursday during a podcast interview, Newman said she believes the letter came from within Vice President Pence’s office.
Although many people have pointed the finger at Pence, because of the use of the word “lodestar,” Newman doesn’t believe Pence is the author.
“I would say I could narrow it down to Pence’s office,” she said.
“Having served as an assistant to the president as well, I believe it’s a staffer,” she said. “I don’t believe it is someone who is at the president or vice president’s level. But because of the choice of words, it is very similar to the speaking style and patterns of someone who would work around the vice president. That’s my opinion.”
The White House isn’t too pleased about the leak, and of course they believe it to be “fake news”. Jarrod Agen, Pence’s deputy chief of staff and communications director, denied that it was Pence on Twitter.
“The Vice President puts his name on his Op-Eds. The @nytimes should be ashamed and so should the person who wrote the false, illogical, and gutless op-ed. Our office is above such amateur acts,” Agen tweeted.
Newman is slated to appear on ABC’s The View on Monday, and is allegedly bringing more White House mix-tapes with her! Remember when controversy at the White House include Michelle Obama showing off her arms and Barack Obama wearing a tan suit? Those were the good ole days.
