On Thursday, the President went on Twitter and attacked former friend and MSNBC host Mika Brzezinski.
President Donald Trump said, “I heard poorly rated @Morning_Joe speaks badly of me (don’t watch anymore). Then how come low I.Q. Crazy Mika, along with Psycho Joe, came..”
He continued in a second tweet by saying,”…to Mar-a-Lago 3 nights in a row around New Year’s Eve, and insisted on joining me. She was bleeding badly from a face-lift. I said no.”
Several politicians including Sen. Lindsey Graham, Rep. Mike Coffman, Sen. Susan Collins immediately condemned the tweets.
Until recently, President Trump had a friendly relationship with Morning Joe hosts Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski. The relationship has soured as Brzezinski and Scarborough have repeatedly been critical of Trump’s actions and policies as President.
President Trump’s Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders reaffirmed his actions in an interview with FoxNews.
“Look, I don’t think that the president’s ever been someone who gets attacked and doesn’t push back. There have been an outrageous number of personal attacks, not just to him but to frankly everyone around him. People on that show have personally attacked me many times. This is a president who fights fire with fire and certainly will not be allowed to be bullied by liberal media and the liberal elites within the media Hollywood or anywhere else.”
But this isn’t Trump’s first attack on journalists. Back in 2015, he attacked Megyn Kelly during a Republican presidential debate.
