Ninety-four days since the last White House press briefing, President Donald Trump announced that Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders will leave her position at the end of the month, CNN reports.
During a post-announcement event, Trump praised Sanders, calling her a โwarriorโ and a โspecial person.โ He also reiterated his hope that his soon-to-be former mouthpiece runs for governor when she returns to her home state of Arkansas.
Sanders, along with Kellyanne Conway, has been one of Trumpโs most visible White House accomplices, obfuscating the facts at every turn, proving herself to be a habitual liar, and treating the press with disrespect and derision. Her stunning mediocrity and steadfast ability to fail forward were most clearly on display during her exchanges with April Ryan, White House Correspondent and Washington Bureau Chief of American Urban Radio Network.
Soon after the announcement, Ryan tweeted: โAll good things (and even some bad things) must to come to an end, but we wish you all the best! #WhiteHouseโ

Sanders made headlines recently when Special Counsel Muellerโs reportโwhich detailed the findings of the investigation into potential Russian interference in the 2016 presidential electionโshowed that she lied about โcountlessโ FBI agents and officials having lost confidence in former director James Comey. In fact, she admitted to investigators that her โcomments were not founded on anything,โ Politico reports.
But being exposed for blatant dishonesty and unethical behavior hasnโt seemed to bothered Sanders, who said of leaving her position behind, โI couldnโt be prouder to have the opportunity to serve my country and particularly to work for this President. Iโve loved every minuteโeven the hard minutes.โ
Be best, Sanders. Be best.
