Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump has spent much ofthe last few weeks peddling the narrative that the upcoming election will be rigged to his disadvantage, but it looks like his own supporters might actually be the ones to bring that concern to life.
In an ironic incident out of Iowa, 55-year-old Trump supporter Terri Rote was arrested by Des Moines police after it was discovered that she attempted to vote two times. Rote was charged with one count of first-degree election misconduct and held at the Polk County Jail before being released on $5,000 bond, according to CBS News reports.
Attempting to justify her unlawful actions, Rote echoed Trump’s sentiments about the election being compromised during a recent interview with a local radio station. “I wasn’t planning on doing it twice, it was spur of the moment,” she said during the brief chat shortly following her arrest. “The polls are rigged.”

Meanwhile, the most recent polls show Trump still trailing Clinton in most states, while lagging behind significantly in others.
