That two had a formal meeting Wednesday morning, CNN reports, to talk plans to execute an executive order to tighten the access Americans have to guns including a plan to assist states and local authorities in addressing gun violence.
During his time in the Mayoral office, Bloomberg was a vocal advocate for tighter gun laws being very adamant about his disdain for the National Rifle Association and lobbied for tighter gun laws.
The meeting, which took place in the White House along with President Obama’s senior adviser Valerie Jarrett, hopes to continue to solidify the President’s plan to close the “gun show loophole” and to “keep guns out of the hands of those who should not have access to them.”
