Believe it or not, President Obama has time on his demanding schedule to watch television.
He may not be obsessed with Real Housewives of Atlanta of the latest competition show, but he’s really into dark and witty dramas according to The New York Times.
The leader is said to be working his way through all five seasons of Breaking Bad, which wrapped up this year. He also reminds those around him not to spoil it for him—good luck with that!
President Obama is also a lover of Netflix’s original series House of Cards, which depicts a messy Washington. “I wish things were that ruthlessly efficient,” Obama once said to Netflix CEO Reed Hastings about loving the drama. “It’s true. It’s like Kevin Spacey, man this guy’s getting a lot of stuff done.” Hastings reportedly invited the president to guest appear on the drama. There’s no word if Obama will accept the invitation.
Among other shows favorited by the commander-in-chief are Game of Thrones, Boardwalk Empire, Downton Abbey and Homeland.
He’s no stranger to sharing his favorites on the small screen. He famously said he’d love to host SportCenter’s Top 10 when he retires and he’s known to rave about The Wire as well.
