During a town hall meeting in Ho Chi Minh City, President Obama surprised the audience when he put his beatboxing skills on display.
While taking questions from the audience Obama was asked by rapper Suboi, a popular entertainer in Vietnam, about the importance of a country supporting the arts.
However, before Obama answered the question he asked Suboi, whose real name is Hàng Lâm Trang Anh, to drop a verse.

“Do you need, like, a little beat?” Obama asked before beatboxing. And, girl’s got skills.
Suboi and the President briefly discussed sexism in the music industry, “They assume a lot of stereotypes for Vietnamese people, it’s different. They think rapping is not for girls,” Suboi told Obama, before the President finally answered her question. “The arts are important. Artistic expression is important. Those are the things that inspire people.”
