Beneath a cloudy New York sky, thousands gathered with President Obama at Ground Zero to pay special tribute to those lost on Sept 11, 2001.
Mayor Bloomberg attended, recalling the day that turned into “the blackest of nights.” As bells tolled, families read the names of those lost that day, struggling to hold back tears.
With the First Lady nearby, the President read from the 46th Psalm. “We will not fear, even though the Earth be removed, though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea,” President Obama said.
