Ciara, Ella Mai, Charlie Wilson, and Boyz II Men will be joining Bruno Mars as guests on his 24K Magic Tour. Dates for the tour have been released with the fun kicking off September 7 in Denver, CO. The tour will close in Honolulu, Hawaii with a three-day homecoming event.
Queen Latifah is set to host Black Girls Rock!, an annual event that celebrates Black girl magic. Latifah will take the stage in her hometown of Newark, New Jersey on Aug. 26 with BET premiering the event September 9. (Vibe)
Universal has released the stunning trailer for Green Book, which stars Academy Award-winner Mahershala Ali as a pianist who embarks on a tour in the Deep South with a rough bouncer-turned-chauffeur, Tony Lip (Viggo Mortensen). Tessa Thompson has been cast as Lady in the live-action/CGI hybrid remake of the 1955 classic. Thompson will star opposite Justin Theroux, who is set to voice the Tramp. (The Hollywood Reporter)
Almost a year after Hurricane Marie devastated the island, Puerto Rico finally has power restored. The Puerto Rico Electric Power Authority (PREPA) confirmed that 100 percent of customers have had their power restored after the hurricane caused the largest blackout in Puerto Rico’s history.
