Christmas is coming early for a few former employees of the Queen Latifah show. This holiday the Queen is making sure staffers of her cancelled talk show will have money during the holiday, even if she has to pay for it out of her own pocket.
According to E! Online, Latifah is using her own funds to pay the show’s production crew through the holidays even though production has officially shut down. Original episodes of the show will run through March, but the crew is no longer needed.
“Your dedication and sacrifice was crucial to the entire team, and in the face of intense challenges, you displayed ‘True Grit’!” Latifah wrote on her Facebook page. “Thank you for your strong work ethic and great effort in getting The Queen Latifah Show off the ground and running.”

In an effort to encourage not only her former staff, but everyone this season, Latifah continued, “This letter is for me, my staff, my crew, and everyone who was by my side for this incredible journey,” she wrote. “The most important thing in life is that you wake up every single day and take chances. No matter what the outcome…believe in yourself and continue to fly.”
