It’s Sunday funday! As you prepare for the new week ahead, here are the day’s buzziest stories:
1. Beyonce auctioned off her famous “Formation” hat and it brought in some big bucks. Bey donated her iconic wide-brimmed black hat from the ‘Formation’ tour to help raise money for The Lung Transplant Project — and it sold for a whopping $27,000! The hat, which was only expected to bring in $1,000-$2000, was also autographed and signed “All my love.” (TMZ)
2. President Donald Trump told reporters that Vladimir Putin denied interfering in the 2016 elections during their side-discussions at the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation summit.
“He said he absolutely did not meddle in our election. He did not do what they are saying he did,” Trump said. It is not clear, however, if Trump believes the Russian president. (Associated Press)
3. The Juice is defending himself against allegations that a drunken incident at the Cosmopolitan Hotel forced the hotel’s management to ban him for life. OJ told the paparazzi that nothing happened last week when he had to be escorted out of the hotel by security. (TMZ)
4. Cardi B’s rise isn’t stopping anytime soon. The rapper just became the first woman to land her first three hits in the Billboard Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs top 10 chart. The songs are the current no. 2 “Bodak Yellow”; the current no. 6 “Motorsport” alongside Migos and Nicki Minaj; and the current no. 10 G-Eazy’s “No Limit.” (Billboard)
