Quvenzhane Wallis is set to receive some serious perks for her new role in the remake of Annie, including a reported $1.5 million.
Wallis, who will star as the orphaned character in the film, has been offered a base salary of $750,000 for the leading role. If the film does well in the box office, the 10-year-old actress will earn an added bonus of $750,000.
In addition to her salary and bonus, Wallis is set to receive 5% of the film’s profits, 5% of profits from sold merchandise and 10% of the royalties from the film’s sound track album. It has also been reported that despite starring alongside heavy hitters like Jamie Foxx and Cameron Diaz, Wallis’ contract states that her name cannot appear any lower than second position in the title credits.
Produced by Will Smith and Jay Z, Annie is set to hit theaters in December.
