The singer was released from Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago after doctors drained an abscess on his tonsils.
His publicist, Allan Mayer, told The Hollywood Reporter he didn’t know when his client would get back to performing. But Kelly seemed to be in high spirits after his release, tweeting, “I’d like to thank everybody for their love, concern and support. I WILL BE BACK!”
It’s not clear whether or not fans in Jamaica will get to see Kells, who is set to perform at the Reggae Sumfest festival this weekend.
