Spotify has removed R. Kelly’s music from its playlists as part of its new hate content and hateful conduct policy. The singer’s music will be removed from Spotify’s major playlists like RapCaviar as well as genre and mood playlists. The news comes after the #MeToo movements recent calls to #MuteRKelly. Chris Brown is being sued by a woman who claims she was raped and forced to perform oral sex on a woman at the singer’s house. The woman, who has chosen to go by Jane Doe, filed documents this week alleging that she was raped by one of the singer’s friends and forced to perform oral sex on another woman during a party at the singer’s house in February 2017. The singer reportedly supplied weed, molly, and cocaine at the party, where Jane Doe says she was forced into a room where she and other women were forced to hook up with Brown and another man, Lowell Grissom. Music producer Detail is being accused of raping and abusing two up-and-coming female artists. Kristina Buch claims the producer raped her during a recording session in February, forcing her to have sex with him in front of other people. She adds that during a recent violent altercation, Detail bit her, choked her, and left bruises all over her body. Another artist, Peyton Ackley, says Detail forced her and Kristina to be his sex slaves. Peyton adds that the producer also slammed her head into a wall and dragged her down the stairs in March. Teairra Mari says she will seek justice after her Instagram account was hacked and nude photos of the Love & Hip Hop star were leaked. Mari shared on social media, “My social media was compromised by someone I who I felt was deserving of my love and trust. That person proved to be untrustworthy and posted footage of what in the moment was private and sacred. Moving forward, I recognize the need to be more cautious and discerning. My hope is for women to remain strong and dignified when they find themselves having to address hateful and juvenile acts by former lovers who find it difficult to act in an adult manner. FKA Twigs recently opened up about having fibroid tumors removed. The singer says the tumors were “pretty huge” with a nurse saying “that the weight and size were like being 6 months pregnant.” Twigs had the surgery in December after suffering from “excruciating” pain. She added, “I know that a lot of women suffer from fibroid tumors and I just wanted to say after my experience that you are amazing warriors and that you are not alone. KKK imperial wizard Richard Preston Jr. has been found guilty of firing a gun during the Charlottesville rally. Preston fired his gun at a Black counter-protestor, Corey Long, who said he was using a makeshift flamethrower to protect another man. Long is facing charges of his own. Preston is facing up to 10 years in prison and a $100,000 fine. (HuffPost)
A South Carolina man tried to hire a white supremacist to kill his Black neighbor but ended up soliciting an undercover FBI agent. Brandon Lecroy put down a $100 deposit to have his neighbor killed and hung from a tree with a flaming cross placed in his yard. He allegedly told the agent, “$500 and he’s a ghost.” Lecroy was arrested in April and faces 10 years in prison. (CBS News)
A woman in Nebraska recently discovered that his runny nose was actually brain fluid. Kendra Jackson says doctors told her that her years-long runny nose was actually due to leaking brain fluid. In 2013, Jackson was rear-ended in a car accident and hit her head on the dashboard. She later developed a habitual cough, sneeze, and runny nose. Several physicians assured her it was just allergies before doctors revealed the real issue. (KETV)
