So, today is the first day of the third month of the year. How are you holding up? Still feeling inspired? Sticking to your resolutions? We’re doing our best, too!
As we’ve been promising (and anticipating!), this week shall be one of the biggest for Hollywood…and for us. This Thursday, we’ll host our Third Annual Black Women in Hollywood Luncheon where we will honor the artistic achievements of Queen Latifah, Gabourey Sidibe and Zoe Saldana. We’ll also pay a very, special tribute to legendary actress Cicely Tyson. Remember, this year marks our 40th anniversary, so we’re doing it big and can hardly wait to share the magic with you.
Then, come Sunday, Hollywood will throw itself the biggest celebration at the 82nd Annual Academy Awards. For the past month, we’ve all had our fingers for Mo’Nique, Gabourey, Lee Daniels and the whole cast and crew of “Precious: Based on the Novel ‘Push’ by Sapphire” as well as Morgan Freeman and Anthony Mackie. We can barely wait until those envelopes get ripped open!
