Celebrate the birthday of the late Patricia Roberts Harris, the first African American female cabinet member and Howard University dean. Before her death in 1985, Harris was appointed U.S. ambassador to Luxembourg by President Lyndon B. Johnson and later dean of Howard University’s law school.
